• Linux Administration & Automation Mastery: 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring Unix/Linux operating systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, SUSE) combined with deep expertise in Ansible Automation and Ansible Tower.
• Scripting & GitOps Engineering: Advanced proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Perl, Python) alongside GitHub and GitOps repository management to drive config-as-code and automated deployment pipelines.
• Autonomous Delivery & Security Hardening: A mostly autonomous engineer capable of running vulnerability assessments, applying patch lifecycles, and managing Incident, Problem, and Change (PIC) workflows within an Agile environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Information Systems or equivalent commercial experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of dedicated IT operations experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of configuration management and automation experience.
• Strong background in Linux OS environments (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES), version control (GitHub), and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).

Essential Skills & Technologies:Linux Operating Systems & Automation:

• Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments (Ubuntu, RHEL, SUSE).

Advantageous Skills:

• Certifications: RHCSA, RHCE (ex294/ex407), RHCA, SUSE, or Veritas Infoscale certifications.
• High Availability & Systems: Knowledge of Veritas Infoscale, Rudder, VMWare virtualization, Private Cloud, and Windows Server.
• Containers & Orchestration: Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Podman, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Observability & Management Tools: Knowledge of Dynatrace, Splunk, Red Hat Satellite, and ServiceNow.
• Methodologies: Basic understanding of ITIL v4, PIC processes (Problem-Incident-Change), and the Agile Working Model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Design & Maintenance: Design, develop, and operate standardized Linux client platforms for office and manufacturing production environments, creating base images, software packages, and configuration standards.
• Infrastructure Administration: Install, configure, administer, and support Linux systems across physical, virtual, and cloud-based infrastructures (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Security & Vulnerability Management: Conduct vulnerability assessments, implement remediation measures, execute patching lifecycles, and enforce corporate security hardening standards.
• Automation & Monitoring: Automate system deployment and operational tasks using Ansible and shell scripts; monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure high availability.
• Agile & ITIL Compliance: Track user stories in Jira, support ITIL PIC processes, maintain CMDB records and runbooks, and participate in on-call support or weekend maintenance when required.
